Happy Pride!
Happy Pride!
As you may recall, for each of the past few years I’ve released a Pride-themed rainbow pattern in June, with proceeds from the sale of the pattern going to the Trevor Project, the Human Rights Campaign, and Knit the Rainbow.
This year, I’m sorry to admit, the hat pattern I’m writing up for you isn’t ready yet. I’m always so grateful to all of you who show your support by purchasing the patterns… and I love that we get to collectively support these organizations this way. All of which makes it even harder not to have a new pattern for you right now.
So I’ve decided to bring back our previous years’ patterns, and I’ll send the proceeds from all sales of them this month to the three organizations I fundraise for, all month long. If you haven’t purchased one of these before, now is a great time to get some rainbow yarn on your needles and support three organizations that are doing a lot of good for the LGBTQIA+ community.
And don’t worry, I’ll keep working on that hat, and maybe we’ll have something else by the end of June. In the meantime, please have a look at any of the previous years’ patterns that you may have missed.
Proud to Be
The Proud to Be socks show off the rainbow stripes of Vesper Sock Yarn’s Rainbow Love colorway, or any self-striping sock yarn.
You can purchase the pattern through my Payhip, or Ravelry shops.
Pride Goeth Before the Shawl
Pride Goeth is worked in eight larger (50 gram) mini skeins of Vesper Sock yarn from Knitterly Things, or your favorite shock yarn. The pattern includes a guide for replicating many other Pride flags, as well as instructions for working with smaller, 25 gram minis.
You can use these links to purchase it through either my Ravelry or Payhip shops.
Pride Like the Wind
This shawl was released last year and features the colors of full Inclusivity flag. It’s worked from a kit dyed by Purly Shell Fiber Arts, or you can pick your own main color (a full skein) and eight mini skeins using the sock yarn of your choice.
Pride Like the Wind is available from my Ravelry or Payhip shops.
On behalf of the three organizations and everyone they serve, thanks for all of your support, this year and in years past!
