The Quiet Forest Collection
For a while now, I’ve been working on a secret project, a joint collection of knit and crochet patterns with a number of other talented knit and crochet designers and indie dyers who I met through the Vogue Knitting Launch Pad program last year.
Today, the collection drops, and with it, my pattern, the Woodleaf Cowl.
Woodleaf is a cozy cowl that’s perfect for snuggling into on chilly fall hikes in the forest. It draws its inspiration from twining leaves and mossy branches overhead and the mottled sunlight that wends among them to make its way to the forest floor.
Woodleaf is knit from Colorista Basique Worsted in the varied greens and blues of the Peacock of the Barnyard colorway. It is worked in the round, alternating between panels of climbing vines and moss stitch, and features rolled edges at the top and bottom that are knit closed as the piece is worked. It could easily be turned into a more generous cowl or infinity scarf by working extra panel repeats. In the original size, the cowl is a one-skein project in many yarns.
You can purchase the Woodleaf pattern on Ravelry or Payhip.
But Woodleaf is just the tip of the iceberg. This collection features six other knit and crochet designs from talented independent designers, using yarn from a variety of indie dyers.
