You’re Doing What Now With That Knitting?
I’m cutting it. I also threw it in the washing machine on hot. Then I put it in the dryer. Also, I didn’t weave in any ends. At all. I just sort of let them dangle out there, forever.
Have I made you gasp yet?
This is what I absolutely love about this pattern. It breaks all the rules, and that’s totally okay. It’s supposed to break rules. Felting your knitting is like that.
If you’d like to give it a try, my Fizzy Drinks pattern walks you through the scary bits (it’s a lot easier than it looks, and so is the color work, which only involves knitting one color at a time!). It’s s available for sale on my Ravelry and Payhip shops, and as part of a kit through Morehouse Farms.
If you’d like to have a bit of hand-holding as you break the rules, Morehouse Farm is running a Fizzy Drinks knitalong starting November 6. There will be lots of other knitters working the pattern at the same time, great tutorials from Erin, and I’ll be popping ’round to help out. For more information on the KAL, hop on over and join the Morehouse Flock Facebook Group.
You can also get a sneek peek at all this fun at Morehouse Farm’s Open Farm Day this Saturday, November 1. I’ll be making an appearance at 11:15 Eastern Time, enjoying a mimosa, and talking about Fizzy Drinks and the upcoming knitalong. I’m told there will also be farm animals!

On the fizzy drink pattern, which I have, do you knit this in the round.
Amy Snell
No, the Fizzy Drinks pattern is knit flat, back and forth.

So the fizzy drink is just garter stitch
Amy Snell
That’s correct, the basic stitch used is garter stitch.
