Twelve Weeks of Gifting

For the next twelve weeks, I’ll be gifting you a little discount to help make *your* holiday gifting a little easier. Every week one of my patterns will be available at a 20% discount on my Ravelry and Payhip shops.

It’ll always be a pattern that will be great for gift-giving, and one I think you have time left to make before the holidays (even with all the craziness this time of year entails).

To start us off, let’s look at the my most ambitious recommendation: A pair of socks — specifically, my Proud to Be sock pattern. Handmade socks are an amazing and special gift, one that will keep your loved one cozy all through the winter. Normally I can turn out a pair of socks in 3-4 weeks’ casual knitting time, and I’m a pretty slow knitter. So I think you have plenty of time to make these.

This pattern works with any self-striping yarn that makes stripes at least three rows tall (which is most of them). I think these would be awesome in some red, green, and white-striped yarn, but clearly I’ve got Christmas on the brain. (Other colors would probably see more wear at non-holiday times of year, so that would be a safe bet!)

The original yarn is Knitterly Things Vesper Sock in Rainbow Love (isn’t it awesome?) and she has lots of other great striping colorways that are gorgeous with this pattern.

The pattern is available for 20% off at both my Ravelry and Payhip shops using the same code: PROUD20.

Happy holiday knitting!
